Service Model: This Service is free to use and is monetized through advertising revenue. You will see advertisements displayed on our Service, which support the free provision of transcription services.

3. No User Registration Required

Unlike many services, FreeVideoTranscript does not require you to create an account or register. You can use our Service anonymously by simply submitting a video URL. However, by using our Service, you agree to comply with these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to use the Service to:

5. Content Rights and Permissions

CRITICAL - READ CAREFULLY: You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to access, download, and process the videos you submit to our Service. By using our Service, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own the video content, OR
  • You have obtained explicit written permission from the copyright owner to process the video, OR
  • Your use of the video falls under fair use or other applicable legal exceptions, OR
  • The video is in the public domain or licensed under terms that permit transcription

You acknowledge that:

  • Processing copyrighted content without authorization may violate copyright laws
  • You are solely liable for any copyright infringement resulting from your use of our Service
  • We are not responsible for verifying your rights to process any video content
  • We may refuse to process videos that appear to violate copyright or other laws
  • We may remove or refuse to provide transcriptions if we receive valid copyright complaints

Prohibited Content: Do not submit videos containing:

  • Copyrighted music, movies, TV shows, or other protected content without authorization
  • Private or confidential information without consent
  • Content that violates platform terms of service (e.g., downloading private Instagram content)
  • Content intended to harm, harass, or defame others

6. Use Cases and Permitted Uses

Our Service is intended for legitimate transcription purposes. Permitted uses include:

  • Transcribing your own original video content
  • Transcribing videos you have permission to process
  • Transcribing public domain content
  • Transcribing content under fair use for educational, research, or commentary purposes
  • Creating accessibility transcripts for content you own or have licensed
  • Personal, non-commercial use of transcriptions

Commercial Use: If you plan to use transcriptions for commercial purposes, ensure you have proper rights to the underlying video content and comply with all applicable laws and platform terms.

7. Intellectual Property

Service Ownership: FreeVideoTranscript and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by FreeVideoTranscript and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Transcriptions: The transcriptions generated by our Service are provided for your use. However:

  • The underlying video content remains the property of its original creator or copyright holder
  • You do not acquire any rights to the video content by obtaining a transcription
  • You must respect the intellectual property rights of video content creators
  • Our AI technology and Service infrastructure remain our property

8. Service Availability and Limitations

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • FreeVideoTranscript is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
  • We disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • We shall not be liable for loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
  • We shall not be liable for any damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Service

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FreeVideoTranscript, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:

  • Your use or misuse of the Service

  • Your submission of content you do not have the right to process
  • Any content you submit or transmit through the Service

11. Service Modifications

Transcription Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, transcriptions are generated by AI and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. Always verify critical transcriptions.

No Legal Advice: Our Service provides transcriptions only. We do not provide legal, financial, or professional advice. Transcriptions should not be used as the sole basis for legal or business decisions.

Third-Party Content: We are not responsible for the content of videos you submit. We do not endorse, support, or verify the accuracy of video content.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which FreeVideoTranscript operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of that jurisdiction.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will:

  • Update the "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms
  • Post the updated Terms on this page
  • Display a notice on our Service for significant changes
